How to Adopt a Child

Thank you for your interest in adoption and Christian Family Services (CFS). Most of the children placed by CFS are healthy newborn infants of all races, but occasionally we place babies with special needs, and older children. We provide services for birthparents and their families such as counseling, housing, financial assistance, and occasionally foster care in our own licensed Christian homes. Adoption costs range from about $15,000 to $23,000 for healthy infants, depending upon the birthmother's medical and financial needs. Legal fees are in addition to these costs. Because of special assistance available for children who have special needs, costs may be less for these adoptions. Please review the materials at this website, and if you are interested in pursuing adoption through CFS, please complete the Adoption Application and the Response Form, and return them with the application fee. (These forms can be found through the "Adoption Process" link to the right on this page.) We recommend that you immediately join an adoption support group. These support groups are organized to serve you and provide a wealth of information about adoption resources and issues. We will gladly help you locate one near you. We look forward to working with you and trust in the Lord's perfect timing you will have a child to love and nurture to adulthood.
