Pre-placement Investigation by CFS (Home Study)

If we conduct your adoptive home study, the fee is $1,000; it is payable when we begin your study and due before it is completed. We may accept home studies done by other adoption agencies, or qualified social workers called certified investigators. If you choose to have someone else conduct your home study, we ask that you provide us a copy of it and its supporting documents. We will also ask you to arrange an office visit. The cost of reviewing your study and office visit is $300. We have a list of licensed agencies and certified investigators in our office.
